Attorney Cara Petri will elaborate on title vesting, the various ways to hold title, etc. She will also touch on the intricacies and how sometimes family lawyers and estate lawyers may only see it from their prospective, but the law varies greatly based on how the title is vested.
Attorney Kristin Lang will review documents and steps necessary to complete a residential closing, including the preparation of the deed, getting payoffs, preparation of settlement statements, etc. This discussion will also incorporate a discussion on best practices to protect your client, yourself and the property.
Attorney Timothy J. Peterkin will discuss ethical considerations when engaging in real estate closings. He will discuss conflicts of interest, defects in property, and trust accounts.
