Introduction to Immigration 9:00am – 10:15am
Attorney Onyema Ezeh will discuss issues that arise when dealing with clients who face possible deportation due to criminal matters and/or visa issues. He will provide tips and legal maneuvers that can assist you in helping your clients. Atty. Peterkin will provide sample bankruptcy documents, including the schedules, plan payments,
exemptions forms, etc.

Employment-Related Visas 10:30am – 11:45am
Attorney Jing Huang will discuss employment-related visa issues. She will elaborate on the relevant law and regulations, administering agencies, the various types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas that permit employment in the U.S., and the conditions, procedures and duration of the relevant visas.

Removal Proceedings 1:00pm – 2:45pm
Attorney Pooyan Ordoubadi will discuss removal defense. He will elaborate on practicing in front of Immigration Courts. He will discuss the structure of immigration court and changes in court proceedings under the current administration vs. the previous administration. He will also discuss the differences between the various jurisdictions. He will review the appellate process and how to appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Fourth Circuit.
